Go for Gophers

This is Go for Gophers, a book for practical developers. It is structured to build up on important traits as concurrency support, generics and composition so the reader can extract practical insights right away. We even dive into probabilistic data structures !

It comes with source code, tons of examples and a final project. As my other books, it goes out as work in progress but mainly complete in structure.

In my past experiences I was part of teams rewriting and creating new software in Go, many of them coming from Python, C#, JAVA and Javascript experiences and this structure helped them to be productive quickly.

I used this material as support and mentor teams into being productive with Go. Usually two sessions of two hours each along with code review, setup and idiomatic examples was enough to get the team onboarded. The target were developers that were Gophers but didn't knew yet, hence the title !

Go, the language and its tooling are in constant evolution, providing support for building infrastructure, amazing products such as Kubernetes, InfluxDB (v1), etcd and a host of libraries. It is worth to add it to your toolbox.

If you don't know Go don't worry, batteries are included, it is a methodical approach to update and give you new ideas with code and patterns for robust systems. If you are already a developer with any experience, this book is to get you from now to productive in no time.
